Tea Time

Last week I had the pleasure of having lunch with three friends at Lily's Tea Room located in Another Time ~ Another Place, in Medina, NY. As we pulled up in front, I noticed this pretty little creek with a bridge across it.

We sat down at an old 50's type table, and ordered out tea. Two of us got this, wild blackberry tea. It was delicious!

There were two choices for the main fare. Either chicken salad with grapes or broccoli swiss quiche. I chose the quiche and was not at all disappointed! It was awesome!

As we sat there I noticed a fresh baked pie on the sideboard of the tea cup cabinet. The proprietor said it was rhubarb. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've had fresh homebaked rhurbarb pie! I can now, about a week and a half!

Good food shared with good friends makes one of the best times in one's life.

DOT Post ~ Relaxin'

I realize this is not a real good picture of MaggieMae and me, but it is the only one I had so I am posting it anyway. I was laying on the couch at my sil's and MaggieMae decided to join me. So I asked my sil to grab my camera and take a picture. Unfortunately she isn't familiar with it and after she took it I could not tell how blurry it was, so my apologies for the bad pic. (I've taken some as bad myself, so I don't blame her!)

Sometimes it amazes me for as big as Maggie is she can curl up in very small places. Anyway, it was nice to have a pic of me and "my girl", as I am usually on the other side of the camera for picture taking. She's a sweetheart, and I love her dearly!

DOT Post ~ MaggieMae's Fun Day in PA

MaggieMae and I made a recent trip to PA for a funeral and a chance to visit with some of my relatives. She also finally got to meet her "2nd" cousins, Honeydew and Samson. I will say at one point she got a bit "overexcited" with the experience, but I won't go into details so as not to embarass her, even though she embarassed me!
However, she did have a good time with her cousins. Especially Samson. Honeydew was her typical calm self. She was quite vocal with Samson.

He just "fell" for her.

Um, no, she isn't biting the coffee table, but being vocal again.

She even felt at home enough to play with one of their toys.

Not quite sure what she was telling him, and from the look in his eyes, I'm not sure he believed her!

Then they decided to have a barking competition (with my niece egging them on of course)!
The experience was good for her and got her out of her usual routine when we go visiting in PA at my sil's house. As you can see from the picture below, she makes herself at home there, even when a lady from my sil's church came by. She just made room between my sil's friend and sil's grand daughter as if she owned the couch (I think she thinks she does).

Everyone loves MaggieMae.
